19th c. Pre 1830 Antique Repose Silver Altar Crucifix Picture(s) and Description:
This 19th century Italian crucifix belonged to the estate of Antonio Federighi. It came from a furnished palace now called Medici Villa near Pisa, originally purchased by his family in 1854. The entire piece with base is 19” long, and the figure of Christ is 5.5 inches long, head to toes; it all weighs 3/4 pound. The figure of Christ, the tips, and the INRI monogram are in repose silver; except for the skull and bones that is solid cast silver.
